Alarm System: Customizable visual and audible alarms for all three parameters. If a patient’s readings exceed or drop below the set limits (e.g., SpO2 < 90%), the system triggers immediate alerts.

Portability: Lightweight and compact design (often under 2.5 kg). It usually includes a built-in handle or is mounted on a mobile wheeled stand for easy movement between patients.

Internal Battery: A rechargeable battery (typically Lithium-ion) provides several hours of backup power, ensuring uninterrupted monitoring during patient transport.

Memory: Capable of storing significant “trend data” (spot-check readings) for multiple patients, allowing clinicians to review vital sign history.
